This is a response to Swamp's request to get together. We met at Silver Creek Saloon in Belleville and got involved in the Gear Jammers Cruise tonite. I have a pic. We met another guy from Fairview there who had a hot modded mustang too. White GT with too many mods to list. That is what this is all about right? Can we get a few more people together next month? There is another cruise Saturday night May 19th at Culvers in Collinsville. I think we will make a showing there too if anyone wants to meet up.

This is truly a nice car bit way overpriced IMO. I just called royal gate and they said this is a show car, all polished under the hood, and said it is a 10 second car with a supercharger putting out 700 hp. They said they are asking $25,000.00....... Wow!

House Hail Issue

Well I am buying a home and the closing date is tomorrow. I went over to the house this morning to check out some work that the seller had promised they would do. Low and behold I find out that the garage door now has hail damage from the big storms a few weeks ago. My problem is that I close tomorrow and I am unsure if the seller will fix the hail damage. I have contacted my realtor and he has contacted the sellers agent. Now I am waiting to hear what they are going to do. With my closing tomorrow, if I don't hear anything, do you think I should delay the closing? Not sure what to do in a case like this.

I'm trying to find a place that can seriously clean the under side of my truck before I paint the frame and under coat it. Anyone know of a place that can do it? It's pretty nasty it's a 1998 dodge ram diesel and it grew up on a gravel road.

So I sold my 91 to buy the Galaxie and I sold the Galaxie to buy this 87. I was introduced to this car in high school and always wanted to buy it from the girls mom whom I knew. She would never sell it. I ran into her a few months ago and she said it was having transmission problems and she was going to sell it. So I talked with her, looked at the car and figured I should do it. I bought it today for $1500 and this thing is solid! Runs down the road great, still has nice pep to it but has a little trans problem. New top, good tires, new battery, new radiator & cold AC! Here's a few pics.

You can see the line where the one side was buffed and the other was still super dull.

This is the first mustang I've ever owned aside from fox bodies, and it is my daily driver. I have some stuff planned but am a little worried about the infamous saint louis computer emissions OBD stuff. I dont' want to create any issues for myself, so I want to plan ahead before I buy this crap.

Here's what I had in mind:

JLT intake/SCT tuner combo from americanmuscle.com with bama tunes.
pypes X pipe (for the race track only, of course)
pulleys

Not going to go crazy wish much else just want a little boost in power. Will I have problems with check engine light/emissions testing with these planned upgrades in STL? I've heard some horror stories and really dont want any headaches come inspection time.

Is it just me or are Fox Bodies going for a lot of money?

Black notchback with bullet wheels nice car kid said it had bolts on with tune 5 speed. went from a dig and put about 4 cars on him up to about 100 then let off.
last night before work heading onto the berm pulled right out next to a blue hatch sounded really healthy and cammed. i figured he would blow my doors off but i figured what the hell. went from a roll and let him get the jump pulled on him and came up around him right at about top of 3rd. car looked to be in great shape if your on here nice car.

I dont need the whole thing setup, but my front pinion bearing in my Jeep went last weekend and I need to replace it. I have the parts, everything is out, carrier is good, but im kind of afraid to tackle it by myself, due to the backlash and pinion load settings. Ring and pinion are fine, just replacing the bearings, races, and oil slinger and shims. If you do this shoot me a PM.

Hi guys,

I bought my car a year ago, March. The previous owner has left the nice swirl marks / scratches in the clear coat (when you look at it in the right light at the right angle) from previous 'upkeep'. I would like to get this addressed. I would also like to pay someone to do it. (Lazy / Busy / Suck at it) I'm not wanting to get ripped off, but I am wanting to get rid of those light marks and get a good 'base' down on her.

Who do you use? Who do you recommend? Pictures would help seal the deal.

NOTE: It just came out of the body shop for the second time in 5 weeks. It has had some paint work as late as last week. If you can't do anything to it for a few more weeks, that's fine. Lets set something up.

I stomped me a Cobra in Chesterfield. The dude quote Collins and I 750rwhp and when we pulled on 64 I pulled on him every time. From my experience racing a car with 200 more horse power than me I totally go walked. Not pulled away from slowly... no walked... And walked hard... Sad thing he came back to Sonic and I didnt notice it was him and I was tlaking shit about his car...My bad.

Mey this girl who has an ls1 a4 z28 yesterday, and the first thing she said was wanna race. I wad like yep, I dont mind losing. Hah. All her friends were like whats it got? She said she had never lost. I played it off, figuring I would win, but I didnt wanna be a jackass....she was hot!

Fast forward to today. I texted her today and we agreed on a time, I met her after our classes, and we met and I follewed her to some old highway. It took almost 30 minutes to get it shut down so we could run. We lined up, I put it to the floor( 2 step at 3700ish) and on the third honk we were gone. I raped that car. I had to have 3-4 cars by 110 and was still pulling but had to shut it down.

We lined up for a second run, amd I couldnt get the clutch disengaged to put it in first, so mu launch sucked, I was sideways till third, so she got about three cars on me but I was starting to recover when we shut down.

It was fun. I took my loss the second time in stride. She was super cool about getting destroyed the first time.

Hot chicks racing fast cars, and cool about losing....ill take one. Lol

This is just a shot in the dark, but awhile back, December 2011 I think, someone was selling a custom set of 17 inch chrome cobra R 4 lugs on STL Craigslist. They were Big and Littles. The guy had the front wheels cut and narrowed by a shop in Florida or something. Anyway, I didn't have the cash to buy them then, but I do now and wish I would have bought them. Does anybody know who bought them? I thought he may be on this site possibly and be willing to sell or trade them. They are this style wheel:

Im helping my dad replace old rotted out railroad ties on his driveway with some landscaping bricks. One side of the driveway's culvert is about a foot short of where is supposed to be and we're planning on extending the drive way a foot on each side. Calling around the price most places want for 12 ft of pipe is more than we had planned plus we only need about 4 foot at the absolute max. Its a long shot but wondering if anyone has some extra 10" culvert pipe laying around i could buy. leth me know.

Was thinking of my next project, probably a 93 Notchback 5 spd this time, I got to liking the GT body style from my 91 GT Vert in my sig. I was wondering has anyone had, or know someone who has put GT, or Cobra body kits on a NOTCHBACK LX. Just wondering what it would look like, Obviously I've seen this with the Hatchback, and Vert body, but would it look like A$$ on a hardtop body, with a trunk. Opinions or pics please. thanks

yup sikeston dragstrip will have a new owner in effect as soon as june 1st .....was at the track last night when they made the announcement ......the old owner, current owner and soon to be new owner were all there

the new owner goes by dyno dom....hes a racer and part owner in another track up north ....hes moving to the sikeston area along with the purchase of the track

could be a turnaround for the track.....discussed things in the meeting such as a better website revised start times etc

I haven't seen this posted on here, and I don't believe Grinner has been on here in a while. I'm friends with him on Facebook, and this happened about a week ago. I watched it when he first posted it, and it went viral really fast. He was the camera guy that captured Lizzy Musi's crash, as her car came right at him. Some of the big news stations were saying it was an "un-manned" camera, but you can clearly see here that he was standing right there. I love your videos dude. Keep it up.

Getting bored with my car (02 BMW 330ci) and would like to get back into the mustang world again. This time around I want a true daily driver mustang. I'm looking at trading my car in at a dealership and keeping my payment somewhat the same (longer loan probably), so my price range is 13-16k tops which rules out a 5.0. I've found quite a few 05-07 GT 5 speed cars in this price range at the dealers. Whats the general opinion on these years/models mustangs? I've only ever owned Fox bodies.....This will be an everyday driver that I will probably throw exhaust, intake and some tuning at. Any suggestions? Also contemplated a G8 GT but those are waaaaay out of my price range (cheapest I've found is 22K with 30K miles) Would love a terminator but dealerships seem to have this weird thing about giving a 5 year loan on an older car past 05. Open to ideas.......

Just curious how many people here are into the "you eff ohh" stuff. I've always been a fan on UFOs, Loch Ness, the Burmuda Triangle, ect. stuff and kind of lost my interest as time went by but recently downloaded the series Ancient Aliens by the History Channel and found a whole new appreciation for the topic. For those that don't know and are interested you can download them from EZTV.it or catch it on Friday nights on H2. Anyhow I've always believed there's more to the cosmos than us but the literature from the school libraries and occasional show I'd catch was about the extent of what I had seen. The ancient alien show is basically theories on Aliens and the distant past, muc deeper than the pryamids ect.. They go into talking about the Sumerians, the cradle of civilization in Africa, Iraq, ect.. and each show chronicles a specific topic from mysterious places such as Teotihuacan and Malta to the stories in the Mahabarata and stories of ancient weaponry and battles, and stuff like the Nasca Lines as well as many other interesting thoughts and ideas. They have a lot of great narration of which one person is George Noorey. For those that don't know who he is, he host the radio show Coast to Coast AM on 550 AM from 12am - 5am daily. Coast covers much more than the Alien theories and goes into more conspiracy stuff in general like how were basically creating ourselves a turn key totalitarianistic society in America while we sit idle to the Mayan theories and many other mind intriging things

I dont know if any of you guys no donnie but he drives a red challanger at sds. He was in a serious dirt bike accident last sun. and is not doing so well. Let me start with some background info. My girlfriend and I have been together 5 1/2 years and I truly am a very lucky man. She is completly drama free along with every other desirable quality you could find in a woman. We have been in our house for just over a year and everything is going great. Recently however she has been going through a rough patch at work do to having the worlds worst boss, but she gets up and goes everyday without so much as a complaint. Meanwhile her mom is having a hard time with a few different things that I wont get into here and its killing her to watch her mom in this situation. Again we talk about this but it never in the "needy dramatic" fashion you tend to get with girls my age. So what im looking to do is take her out for a great relaxing fun night to show her how much I appreciate her and to take her mind off things a bit.(We have a vacation planned for later this year so that has already been thought of). The suggestions Im looking for are mainly for a place that has live music and possibly a dance floor etc. We are laid back and arent into the hoodrat club scene so please dont suggest any of those places. Any other ideas of what you think would be a good time are welcomed as well. I feel like I do a good job in the boyfriend catagory but I lack knowledge of the city and various cool places to go scince im 22 and most of my friends just like to go out and get hammered drunk, and that is not what im looking for. Im calling on you older members to lend me some guidance. I know theres atleast a couple of you with some class. LOL. Thanks a lot, Jake.

My wife and I had our first child today it was a scary experience at first Bc she wasn't due till the 22nd. She had a dr appt and the ended up giving her an emergency c section luckily we were already at the hospital. Everything ended up being ok my wife's healthy and now I have a beautiful healthy baby girl. 6# 1oz 20in. This is the most incredible feeling in the world just staring in her eyes knowing that we made her. Sorry for the long story but I had to vent in a good way. Lol

Been building my own AK for a month or so (little here, little there) I got a matching numbers Romanian G kit a few weeks ago and mated it to a flat I bent that I got from AKbuilder.com. Spent a few days finishing the furniture to my liking. Made sure the headspacing was ok with a set of go-no go gauges I got from Bushnell this morning and everything checked out. So I headed to the range with a few other handguns and the wife (just in case it grenaded on me for some reason) I fired the first round and was kind of surprised how loud the bolt mechanism is but everything seemed to cycle properly so I fired two more shots and brought it home to check it out. Just to make sure nothing came loose or anything else weird. Everything looks great so tomorrow I'm going to run 30 or so through it and check it out again and then it should be good to go......

I knew I would lose, but hey it was fun. I tried keeping up with a 2010+ SS Camaro. It seemed like my gears were a hell of a lot longer than his, but damn those pigs haul ass. Sounded great, and was fun. He slowed down to about 40 and I pulled up next to him and told him nice car and gave him a thumbs up. Seemed like a cool dude. Sad thing was...we weren't really even racing..I didn't even keep up with his bumper. Closer to 100 we got, the worse it was. Lol
