Hey Guys,

I signed up last year and pop in from time to time just to see whats going on. My name is Zac and I live just across the river on the IL side. I have a 2003 Mustang V6 5 speed - yeah, yeah - should have gotten a V8, well I wanted to be different and try something new. I have always had V8s and thought that this would be a challenge. I like the car its not fast but its not slow either - couldn't keep up with a GT but hey maybe someday :D Right now I have done a few things to it but as of yet nothing major - (mods listed in the sig). I would have much rather been farther with the car than what I am now but I had a set back a few months back and had to have shoulder surgery :( I was also hoping to get in on some of the cruises this summer but that didn't happen either. So I am hoping that next year will be better and I will be able to get over that way for a few of them.

Are there any other V6 guys on here?

Later.

Nice Car.

I believe that is right up the road from my house.

BTW, have you seen the black vert Cobra around? (It has a black top and blacked out windows, looks like 02 Cobra R rims and a serious case of blower whine!) - I just seen it again the other day at the corner of Godfrey Road and W. Delmar - by the CVS / Walgreens Corner and it is really quick.

flowmaster 40 series single, it has a lower rumble when idling. it makes people turn when i jump on it to pass on the highway,so thats good for me right now.
i plan on just doing some exterior mods from now on. when i graduate ill get after the engine.

have you ran at the track yet?

No not yet - unfortunately  Around the same time I was going to start getting the car ready for the track I ended up having major surgery on my shoulder and then by mid summer I was trying again but had another few setbacks and now my neck is messed up. So I don't know when it will happen. I am hoping to get out to Gateway by next spring but right now I am not to confident that will happen.

Everything that is done to mine some basic bolt-ons and a "little light" engine work (I still consider my engine stock because it still has the 3.8 displacement and what I have done has not really changed much - it just helps) mine should run mid 15s on a decent tire. As you may know it takes more to get these cars to run quicker than stock (more so than a GT or Cobra) but once you get the bolt-ons done and start into the engine they can get quite a bit quicker.

I have kind of come up with my goals and plan of where I would like it to go from here. As much as I want it to be fast - I am more or less at the age of been there done that. I am just looking to build a somewhat quick car that can keep up with a stock GT and has decent gas mileage. I am figuring that with the stroker motor I have in mind I should be around 220 RWHP and somewhere in the 240-250 RWTQ, which I think would be a nice step up from the 170 ish I am pushing now.
