There are much better Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles in the STLM Misc Classifieds that North Korea can use. The jump/apex ratio for that model is very poor.

They aren't a threat to the continental US. They are a threat to world stability. They could decimate Seoul. There are a lot of Americans in that area.

NK isn't a threat to anyone. China is their daddy, and they don't like what Kim is doing. They will soon send him to bed without supper. China doesn't want their refugees, or a hit to their increasing economy.

Even the most narcissistic person wouldn't taunt the USA with 30+ year old, untested, missile technology which at this point using zip ties is the only way they are mounting any type of nuke to a rocket. Also, they are still playing with atom bombs, and we have been messing with H-bombs for 70 years. He may be young, but there is no way he is that dumb.

My thoughts: He keeps it up until we make a deal to give them more financial aid. Or, if he really is that stupid, then while we are paying attention to their bottle rocket program, a dirty suitcase finds it way across our border.

We know they have had failed missle tests but they have also put a satellite into orbit, so the capability is there. They aren't worried about having high yield Hydrogen bombs. They developed low yield gamma ray producing warheads with the capability to down our entire grid. They know that America will tear itself apart from the inside out if our power grid goes down. They could just sit back and watch. Some say this is just domestic politics to rally his people. That's most probable but as I've discussed on this board before I'm all about mitigating risk and many times, "consequences outway probability".
