I have spent a little time trying to find out how to contact Bob. I recently purchased a 91 coupe that has a built 331 and turbo, with nothing more than a C & L meter matched to 42lb Ford injectors and a Mallory Hyfire VI CD ignition pulling out timing as boost goes up. It boggles my mind but the car runs hard under WOT with this simple setup and no tune. However, street manners could be better as it jerks at low speed, pops under decel, and gas mileage sucks. Probably there is a little more HP to be had as well but I'm not looking to make over 500rwhp anyways.

I'd really like to know where to start. I don't have a ton of money and I need to spend it wisely.

How do I contact Mr. Bobcat?

Hey there EZ -- how are you? The distance is the main reason I was looking up Bob -- Desloge is only about 30 miles from my house.

EZ -- you mentioned that you needed to run down to your car and "fix" some things real quick before it could be tuned. What kind of things need to be done before a tuner will tune a car?

I started looking at the Quarterhorse, BE, and possibly EEC Analyzer, then throw in a wide band 02 and I am wondering if I would just be better off with a tune and a chip. Once the car is dialed in I don't plan on making changes. I am the kind that likes to tinker and see data, but my budget has to come first.

The few things I had to do were my battery is in hatch and I needed a better ground back there. I also forgot to ground the block so I did that and also my altanator wasn't strong enough because I'm running 3 fans and going to ad another for tranny cooler. So I swapped to a 3g alt.

Also like the thread on corral most people have a wideband when running a turbo or super charger. But I'm highly highly considering going to the holley efi so I might sell all my stuff you'd need.

I'm also pulling my motor back out for another motor this winter.

LOL, you are making more changes and you haven't gotten to run that baby? I know you had a pretty sweet motor in there. You must be thinking a stronger block?

I'm sure the original poster has gotten his car tuned by now, but for anybody else reading this wondering where to get your tune... one more vote for Bob. I have to drive an hour and a half to get there, but he's the only guy I would completely trust. I'm getting a new tune by him tomorrow to account for upgrades.
