You're about the only guy I've seen who got it right, Moe. Gateway's starting line is 407 feet.

IGNORE ALIEN NUMBERS. :chairshot:

I believe you Brett, but the NHRA lists it as 455 ft. Someone needs to give them a call.

Believe me, I know, Hook. They list the wrong numbers at more than half their tracks and it has driven me nuts for years. I know most of the guys who work in Glendora and I've asked them repeatedly to just check the altitude themselves but they always say "That's what the track tells us"....which is BS.

Anyway, here's Gateway proof:

http://terraserver-u...873&Y=10703&W=2

The base of the track was dug two feet deep and filled four feet. My GPS actually puts it at 406.6.

You know, about half of the Gateway listings put it at 500 feet...the altitude of Lambert Airport! That tells you how they come up with a lot of this stuff! :chairshot:

I used Google Earth and it gives you the exact elevation wherever you're pointing your cursor and it gave me between 400-408 along the length of the strip...
