Okay, i know this type of crap is gay (bench racing), but I have to do it; Would a 03 cobra (2.76 upper, non ported, no lower, 453 rwhp, 480 rwtq) with an added 100 shot run with a c6z? I see a couple runnin around town lately, and you know you can never keep up with em all, but I will always try!! I bet i will still come up short, but wanted some opinions. (the numbers i put down are before the shot of course)

Assuming traction for both cars, the Cobra. A pullied, sprayed Eaton car with a good tune can be nasty.

with a good tune, a 100 shot along with your current numbers will send your torque curve through the roof!

I trapped 119 but I have only been to the track twice, i know its got more in it. Thanks for the responses guys. Just got a little bored last night and decided to see what everyone thought. It will be a little ways off yet, but I would like to have bobcat do the tune for the shot so I am sure it will run well

My old cobra with 2.8 upper only no port and 100 shot was traping around 129,128mph I couldnt spray in 1st because bad tire spin but at the track I would go 91mph in the 1/8 and than 129 in the 1/4 spraying top of 2nd, 3rd and 4th. It felt like a different car on the bottle.

So z eater was that full weight? My race weight is like freakin 3900 lbs. If you trapped that high, I would think you would have beaten the c6z. Dont they trap like 121-123 ish or am i wrong? Thanks for all the comments guys, I was really just askin this for fun. I saw a beautiful silver c6z parked at a house very close to mine yesturday and got all mad that there was a way faster car in such a close proximity.

A cobra on a healthy shot will handle a Z06.

A cobra on a 100 shot is nuts. Tony would know because he sprayed a 75/100 for quite some time, then even had a dirty shot on it.

Search (Mofobucs) on streetfire. Although he has a ported/2.93 Cobra, he sprays a 100-150 and even a 200 at times.

Here is a good one: This is on a 100 I believe. Dont forget this Z06 has Cam/LT/Tune.

We can test it out when the Z gets new tires if ya want.

I love '03/'04 Cobras, but they are dogs compared to the Z's. Just my opinion having been around both. Even my brother's old stock Z beat my not-stock Cobra many times.

Sorry sista. = )

I will take all this bullshit turbo crap off, put the eaton back on and show you what's up, lol.

A pulley'd/exhaust/tuned Cobra shouldn't have a problem with a stock C5Z. Add the bottle and it shouldn't have trouble with a C6Z either.

Like I said, we can try it for the fun of it :) Besides, according to the ford guys, with every power adder possible on a car, you should be able to beat an NA car. lol **Waits for the lame 'but you have more cubes' debate to begin** :-P No putting it tween em for you fucker. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Considering the cost of Cobra + Bolt ons + Bottle, it still doesnt even come close to the price of a Z.

Now your playing the price card. Too funny...and cute too. Either way, I like both cars a lot. /end of my opinion in this thread since it's only going to turn into an argument. lol

Carry on. Original poster, if you want to race a mainly stock '06 Z06 for the fuck of it, pm me or issues.

damn i started a war!!!! I am going to need a clutch and 26 spline input before I get the bottle. I am trying to find one right now, but everyone knows how money is currently. As soon as i get one, i am going to approach either z eater or blk_03 (even though they don't know this yet) about the best way to piece together a good dry kit for a reasonable price. I want bobcat to tune it for new injectors and bap, so I will need some money there. Then i will gladly run a c6z to find out. :fencing:

anyone got a used 26 spline input or clutch good to 700 ft lbs I could buy?

Dude, I wouldn't doubt it :) Fuck, Jim lost to a near stock 03 Cobra. Driver error and no tarz for the lose. I'm sure he'll glady race anyone though. I do when I have his car out. LOL I know he wants a rematch with Jill (redfire cobie chic) when he gets the tarz.

Auto and a good tune and you dont need nitrous to beat a C6Z06 at the track.
